I took some time off of running because just getting up in the morning was an emotional chore and I wasn't keeping food and water down very well.
I thought I would have lost some ground, but the next week I did my longest runs ever. Then this last week, every run has been a miserable struggle. I am lucky to get past 20 minutes. It's been very discouraging.
My race is in 5 weeks, I hope I'll be ready.

I think it is amazing how you have picked yourself up and made the choices that others would toss away without a thought. You have a very strong, indomitable will and I admire that, your inspiring me to set some things strait in my own life.
Thank you for sharing you words and experiences.
Thank you. I hope that you are inspired to be the playwright of your own victory.
A quote I have enjoyed (and recently has seen a lot of use on the coolrunning forum) sums up my newest goals.
"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention to arrive safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but to slide in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming 'WOW! What a ride!'"
Hope you enjoy your ride!
